
We made it to December! December is a fun time of year that despite it being cold, it is still nice to be out and take in the sights. This year there are a few sights to take in. Of course, please remember to stay safe, keep your distance, follow proper COVID-19 protocols and wear your mask!
Stagecoach Santa, Fork Union, December 12
The new VSI Hardware & Country Store will host a Stagecoach Santa for those to see their jolly friend. Santa will sit up on the stagecoach to keep everyone distanced. There will be food and a fair. The event is December 12 from 12-3 pm at the new store, 4312 James Madison Hwy, Fork Union, VA 23055.
Holidays in the Village, Palmyra, December 13
Holidays in the Village will have all various activities throughout Palmyra. There will be an Elf Academy scavenger hunt at Totes McGoats. Sweet Art Emporium will have waves from Santa. The Fluvanna Chamber of Commerce will have self-guided tours of the village. Scrappy Elephant will have take-and-make ornament kits. There will also be hayrides done by family unit or pod. Everything is while supplies last on December 13 from 12-3 pm.
Community of Lights Celebration, Pleasant Grove Park, December 18 and 19
Fluvanna Parks and Recreation is hosting the Community of Lights Celebration. Local businesses, organizations, churches, groups, community members, etc. can set up a holiday themed, family friendly lights display. On December 18 and 19 from 6-9 pm, residents from Fluvanna can drive through the circle to see the displays! If you are interested in setting up a display, learn more here.
