Day five of Small Business Week brought my travels to Zion Crossroads and Palmyra! The majority of our large businesses are in Zion Crossroads, but following the state definition of small business (less than 250 employees) brings even our large businesses under the umbrella.
I first had to pick up some treats to hand out from EW Thomas. Then up to Starlite Park to see European Stone Concepts, Mac's Auto Center, Cabinets by Design, Spire Collective with StoreYourBoard, and White Oak Stone Center. Then I hopped over to van der Linde Recycling. AG Dillard, our largest private employer, on Memory Lane got a friendly hello. East Coast Emergency Vehicles was out upfitting cars.
I headed on to Zion Station to see Bright Ideas, Carbon-Core and Lafayette School. Then I drove over to Zion Crossroads Professional Park to see Commonwealth Legacy and Legal Counsel, Mike Arnold Insurance, JLA Massage, Roy Wheeler, Core Health, Meade Construction, Barbara Blair and Vantage Point.
I moseyed down to Zion Crossroads Industrial Park for Zion Crossroads Self Storage, Better Living, Crossroads Gymnastics, Blue Ocean Granite, Red Rocker Candy, Caton Construction, Visiontech Solutions Group, Brownell Metal Studio, and VA School of Metal.
My lunch was at Danny's Bar and Grill for a cheeseburger sub, French fries and a drink. Then back to Palmyra to welcome Fluvanna Health Clinic, now open. Village Station has several businesses including the Golden Fish, Unique Creations Hair Salon, CP Musik Studio, John's Auto Body, Sweet Art Emporium, J's Automotive, All Pawz, Feather & Fowl and Glaze n' Blaze.
What a day! See my video below. Happy Small Business Week!
