Outdoor activities at Camp Friendship

Have some free time today or just want to get out of the house? Camp Friendship is the place for you! Offering many outdoor activities, it’s a great way to spend your free time while also getting to enjoy Mother Nature.

Just off Route 15, just north of Palmyra, it is close and easy to find. Once you are there, you can take a trail ride on the horseback through the beautiful wooded trails or a hayride across the gorgeous countryside. If being more active is your thing, the tennis courts are calling you to play with just your family and friends, or receive instruction from tennis pro Alina Ackenbom.

Back at the trails, biking is a blast with challenging hills and passes. Just make sure to bring your own bike and helmet! If biking isn’t your strong suit, not to fear, you can hike those same trails and more of the incredible 500 acres Camp Friendship has to offer.

Whew! I got tired just writing this, I suggest you all get out there as well and make the most of all Camp Friendship has to offer! What’s not to love about saddling up a horse, getting lessons from a tennis pro, or just enjoying a nice hike?

If you have friends looking for a rustic getaway, they can rent cabins at Camp Friendship this year. Learn more here. Cabin renters can enjoy additional activities such as boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, picnicking and more!

Day trippers only have access to offering riding lessons, trail rides, hayrides and tennis lessons.

Camp Friendship can be reached at (434) 589-8950 or for general info and for riding questions.
