Join a networking group.

Learn from counterparts through networking groups. The Fluvanna Chamber of Commerce is the local business group. There are also resources and groups available for various peer groups: rural businesses, VRLTA (Virginia Restaurant, Lodging, Travel Association)Retail Merchants, Forward Adelante Business Alliancewomen-owned, veteran-owned, LGBT-owned, and Native American-owned to name a few!

 

Expand to new locations.

Have you outgrown your current space or need a second space? The Economic Development Office can help you identify a new space in Fluvanna. If you are looking for a second space outside of the County, Fluvanna's EDO can put you in touch with other economic development offices in other localities to help you. Get more funding.

Are you in need of more funding to continue to grow your business? There are a number of items you should prepare as you seek more funding. Small Business Administration has additional resources available for this. You can also meet with the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center.
